Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, testing, and data collection to identify issues and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, research, and opinions.
  • Collaborate with building departments to determine repair directives.
  • Assist in researching and developing technical topics for publication.
  • Engage in client-relations marketing and presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
  • PE or SE license.
  • Highly qualified and experienced EI/EITs are considered.
  • Familiarity with modern building codes and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel and conduct site inspections.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a forensic engineer.
  • Testimony experience as a designated expert witness.
  • Experience in engineering design or construction.
  • Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various environments.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
