Job Summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients with lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation needs. As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their optimal functional level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and ongoing assessments to address patients' special needs and behaviors.
  • Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, focusing on time-specific goals that enable patients to achieve the highest level of function possible.
  • Supervise and instruct Therapy Aides in patient care activities, adhering to hospital policies and medical regulations.
  • Ensure effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities, completing tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Provide patient education on exercise programs, skin care practices, and lymphedema management.
  • Apply compression bandaging, manual lymphatic drainage, and other specialized techniques as needed.
  • Evaluate and treat axillary web syndrome, postural and scapular dysfunction, and upper quadrant soft tissue changes following breast cancer surgery/reconstruction and radiation therapy.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Washington.
  • Baccalaureate, Masters Degree, or certificate in Physical Therapy.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
  • Knowledge and training in the special needs of patients from young adult to geriatric ages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in Lymphedema and Breast Cancer Rehabilitation.
  • Lymphedema Rehabilitation Certified from an accredited lymphedema program.
  • Skilled in components of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT).
  • Knowledgeable regarding forms of Breast Cancer, diagnostics, treatment approaches, and side effects of Breast Cancer treatments.
