Job Description

Role Overview

The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration and Batch Operations Analyst to join our team in the Controller's Office. As a key member of our Systems Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Enterprise Oracle and PeopleSoft Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced-level operational and batch support to the ELM, HCM, and FSCM applications
  • Define and implement application and scheduling system configuration settings
  • Analyze the feasibility of and develop requirements for systems, batch processes, and enhancements to existing or new systems
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement through automation
  • Integrate and orchestrate new tools and systems seamlessly
  • Gather business requirements and perform fit/gap analysis on new and modified batch processes
  • Consult on the analysis of an application and troubleshoot system problems
  • Identify, manage, and escalate issues and risks throughout the software development life cycle
  • Conduct system analysis and programming activities for complex systems
  • Interface with inter-connecting city departments and external vendors to determine system needs and requirements
  • Prepare and assist clients in preparing service requests to implement system changes
  • Provide technical production support for on-line and batch systems

Requirements

  • An associate degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, economics, finance, computer science, or a closely related field
  • Three years of experience in the information systems field, including system analysis, business process design, development, and implementation of business application solutions or IT project management
  • Desirable qualifications include working knowledge of job scheduling systems, PeopleSoft HCM and/or FSCM module functionality, technical design and development experience with PeopleSoft Development Tools, and professional IS Business Analyst work experience in the Public Sector
