Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our innovative team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple entities, conducting preliminary financial statement reviews, and assisting with the coordination of the annual financial audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries for multiple entities.
  • Prepare complex account reconciliations, analyze the effect of transactions, and verify the accounting treatment.
  • Review account reconciliations prepared by staff.
  • Support business units by conducting preliminary financial statement reviews and analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Handle month-end consolidated reporting (Vector).
  • Assist with the coordination of the annual financial audit.
  • Manage, assess, and promote continuous improvement of internal processes.

  • Demonstrate leadership ability.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
  • Willingness to take on additional or new responsibilities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Ingenuity and initiative in coordinating problem resolution, resolving conflicting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, effective, and complete written communications.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and listening skills for effective communication.
  • Capability to independently develop solutions to non-recurring problems by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating precedents and data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and financial systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.
  • Experience in process and systems improvements is a strong plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration required.
  • At least 7 years of related work experience.
  • Prior experience with process improvement/optimization.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
