Job Summary:
As a Medical Surgical Nurse at CommonSpirit Health, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift, providing treatments according to physicians' orders
- Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
- Collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals, including social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
- Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through American Heart Association (AHA) required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
