Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical procedures under general supervision, adhering to established policies and protocols to prepare patients for treatment or research.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare team members in executing treatment plans and protocols.
  • Conduct simple, non-invasive patient procedures in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Execute various clerical and laboratory tasks as needed.
  • Address the specific needs of patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of all IDX classes is mandatory.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant.
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcare Association (NHA) is required.
  • If certified by another accrediting body, AAMA or NHA certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification may be required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment based on assignment.
