Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize order pick sheets to accurately retrieve orders and prepare them for immediate shipment.
- Keep supervisors informed about order status and notify them of any issues that arise.
- Promote quality by demonstrating personal accuracy and thoroughness while maintaining a fast work pace.
- Adhere to warehouse protocols regarding organization, cleanliness, and the handling of partial pallets.
- Exhibit a strong awareness of safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Propose improvements to enhance company procedures.
- Safely pull, load, and unload palletized orders and incoming stock.
- Assist in conducting monthly cycle counts to verify inventory levels.
- Ensure the warehouse inventory is consistently maintained for effective cycle counts and audits.
- Support the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and maintain accurate pallet information.
- Follow proper receiving protocols, including detailed counts of incoming shipments.
- Maintain orderly records of all received shipments requiring documentation.
- Keep assigned warehouse areas organized, clean, and properly labeled.
- Report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and writing in English.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Experience as an Order Puller or in a similar capacity is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of accurately counting and solving basic arithmetic problems.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to follow guidance from leads or managers with minimal supervision.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills are required.
- Must work in an organized and safe manner.
- Able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, goal-oriented setting.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Physical stamina and strength are necessary.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Consistent attendance is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Schedule:
- Standard hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for extended hours and/or weekend shifts as necessary.
Compensation:
Compensation is dependent on experience.
