We are seeking a highly skilled Multilingual School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant in Pala Mesa, California.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and hold state licensure. They should also be fluent in both languages, with the ability to assess and treat students in their native tongues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessment and Therapy: Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide targeted therapy for students with speech and language disorders, taking into account their cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated approach to student care, fostering open lines of communication and a supportive environment.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments and treatment plans, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Education and Credentials: Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC certification from ASHA, and state licensure.
- Linguistic Proficiency: Bilingual, with the ability to assess and treat students in both languages.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
