Job Overview

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Sanitation Technician. This position is essential in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within production areas.

Compensation: $19.70 per hour

Work Schedule: 2nd shift, 2 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Remove lint, dust, oil, and grease from machinery and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness of screens, drains, and filters.
  • Scrub and sanitize the exteriors of processing tanks.
  • Ensure floors in the facility are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Transport waste materials to designated disposal areas.
  • Utilize industrial vehicles for material transport within the facility.
  • Initiate cleaning processes for production machinery and piping.
  • Conduct Clean in Place (CIP) procedures on various equipment.
  • Operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers and pressure washers as part of daily tasks.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy work area.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication with colleagues and management.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Commit to regular attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with sanitation chemicals and safe handling practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience is preferred.
