Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated 21st Century Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. As a key member of our Community Services team, you will play a vital role in providing intensive and extensive intervention services to elementary and/or secondary students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist with the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring compliance with state, local, and YMCA standards.
  • Lesson Planning: Collaborate with the 21st Century Site Coordinator to develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans for Reading and Mathematics intervention sessions.
  • Student Supervision: Maintain scheduled staff-to-child ratios, providing attentive and alert supervision to students.
  • Progress Tracking: Document and track daily progress of assigned students, providing feedback on their progress and behavior.
  • Student Support: Acknowledge and motivate students to develop self-confidence and reduce anxiety or fear of failure in academic work.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all processes, procedures, rules, and regulations of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and local education agencies.
  • Program Environment: Facilitate a high-quality program environment that invites exploration, promotes positive play, and welcomes children.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education and valid certification in teaching.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Skills: Demonstrated competence in analyzing student academic needs and providing solutions and support to assist students in reaching their desired potential.
  • Teaching Experience: Demonstrated ability in teaching Elementary and/or Secondary grades in multiple academic areas.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability in leadership, communication, organization, and data tracking.
  • Computer Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills and software appropriate for the position.
