Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and report patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility activities.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Current Michigan certification as a Nurse Aide is required at hire or must be obtained prior to hire, or at least 6 months acute care Nurse aid or Patient Care Technician experience required or have completed the first year of clinical rotation in a school of nursing required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program required.
