Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a motivated and hardworking CDL Driver/Laborer to join our growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your driving skills with hands-on construction experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for transporting heavy machinery and equipment to various job sites throughout the region. You will also actively participate in construction activities, assisting with tasks such as digging trenches, installing underground telecommunications cabling, and flagging traffic.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general construction work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor.
  • Utilize hand tools to dig holes and trenches.
  • Contribute approximately 80% of your time as a laborer and 20% as a CDL driver, operating trucks and hauling equipment.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of underground cable locating techniques.
  • Operate various types of trucks and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Transport materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Assist in the installation of underground telecommunications cabling.
  • Ensure safety by flagging traffic, setting up perimeter barriers, and using signage.
  • Conduct daily walkarounds on equipment and report any defects to mechanics.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a valid Class A CDL driver's license.
  • Be able to climb into and out of various types of equipment, including trucks, backhoes, and trenchers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Exhibit the ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, feet, head, and shoulders.
  • Be comfortable working outdoors in diverse environments, including congested and remote areas.
  • Maintain physical stamina for extended periods of standing or sitting.
  • Adapt to working in small/confined spaces and varying heights/depths.
  • Lift and carry up to 75+ pounds.
  • Reach, bend, stoop while performing tasks.
  • Effectively communicate with crew members and maintain visual awareness of surroundings.
