Job Summary

The HR Operations Coordinator is a key member of the Human Resources team at Spectrum Brands, responsible for providing comprehensive HR services to managers and employees. This role will encompass a wide range of HR tasks, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and communication. The successful candidate will have the ability to handle complex HR issues with empathy and clarity, maintaining a positive, productive, and policy-aligned workplace.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for keying employee changes in Workday, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and prepare a variety of HRIS reports, including HR KPIs, compensation, new hire, and termination reports, providing analysis and recommendations based on findings.
  • Create, update, and maintain organizational charts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the employee population, responding to various issues and escalating to appropriate HR staff members or HR center-led teams when necessary.
  • Assist with the administration of performance management processes, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring data accuracy for eligible employee populations.
  • Administer the Tuition Reimbursement program, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to employment verification requests, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Conduct exit interviews for terminating interns, non-exempt, and limited-term employees, coordinating the exit process for all terminating employees, and running analytics on exit trends.
  • Prepare documents for data entry of employee changes, terminations, and other HR-related activities.
  • Assist with HR Business Partner projects and associated activities, providing support and coordination as needed.
  • Administer the selection process for training, providing On-Demand training system administration.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage Unemployment claims via Equifax Case Builder, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to support employee leave processes, including ADA, FMLA, and other related leave types.
Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, with an emphasis in Human Resource Management preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a Human Resources environment, with Workday, Ceridian Dayforce, or other HRIS experience a plus.

  • High level of organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Analytical skills and strong attention to detail, with ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Proficient in the use of various MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Capacity and desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
