Job Title: Division Environmental Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with regional environmental managers, directors of construction, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and compliance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor environmental practices and provide guidance to associates.
  • Develop and maintain storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) and daily jobsite safety logs.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of notices of intent, termination, and change for storm water construction general permits.
  • Review and modify SWPPPs to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and deliver LEMS training to associates and trade partners.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of daily OSHA inspections and reporting of results and trends.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the homebuilding industry.
  • Minimum of five years in construction, environmental management, and/or engineering.
  • Specialized training, knowledge, and experience in environmental management rules and regulations.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in construction technology, industrial hygiene, or related field experience preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations relating to OSHA, SWPPPs, and storm water run-off and air quality.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
  • High degree of construction knowledge.
  • Professional and positive attitude required to deal with all division personnel and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Team player with strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to successfully implement, manage, and enforce programs in multiple communities.
Physical Requirements:

This is primarily an active position, involving office/phone work and walking in all weather conditions, and uneven surfaces, to and within homesites in the community.

Must have a valid state driver's license in order to take customers throughout the neighborhood and community, visit realtor offices, and to various other meetings in the process of self-generating sales.

Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard and telephone equipment.

Must be able to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 25 pounds.
