Overview:
Our esteemed client is seeking a skilled Imaging Equipment Technician to enhance their dedicated team. The selected candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy and will be accountable for servicing a variety of imaging technologies, including dental x-ray, portable x-ray, ultrasound, x-ray film developers, computed radiography systems, film printers, and C-arms. Under general oversight, the technician will manage service responsibilities for various imaging systems, such as radiographic/fluoroscopic, chest x-ray, mammography, nuclear medicine, angio/cath, lithotripter, and direct radiographic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and rectify equipment failures on clinical imaging and radiation therapy apparatus.
- Conduct safety and preventive maintenance assessments on clinical imaging and radiation therapy devices to ensure operational integrity and adherence to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Provide guidance to fellow technicians on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for clinical imaging equipment.
- Engage in special initiatives, including evaluations of new equipment, incident reporting, and participation in departmental committees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- AAS degree in Electronic or Instrumentation Technology with a focus on Biomedical Engineering Technology is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent military training in biomedical and imaging fields is required.
- Basic computer proficiency is essential; advanced networking and system integration skills are advantageous.
- Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams is necessary.
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for servicing offsite locations are required.
