Job Title:

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at Spanish Cove Retirement Village. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation
  • Assist with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks
  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete client's shopping or accompany them to do so successfully
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living, including serving and other tasks
Qualifications:
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and perform job-related duties
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
