About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team at Burgess Norton Mfg Co. As a Tool Maker, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Toolmakers and Plant Managers to review tooling requests and submit recommendations for repair procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining part inventory for common replacement items such as dies, inserts, and sleeves.
  • Maintain the tooling equipment and area in a clean and organized condition.
  • Manufacture and repair fixtures and specialized tools as requested and approved by the Engineering Manager.
  • Provide tooling assistance to the Maintenance Department as approved by the Engineering Manager and/or Plant Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily log books and maintenance request forms.
  • Responsible for setting up and operating machinery equipment such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
