Our specialty patient population includes chronic and advanced heart failure, acute heart failure exacerbation, pre- and post-heart and lung transplant, pre-operative open-heart patients, mechanical circulatory support, and ventricular assist devices.

Key aspects of our unit include entirely private patient care rooms, strong focus on unit-based education, competitive nursing ratios, highly trained charge nurses, and a highly involved core management team.

We are looking for a nurse with critical thinking skills, autonomy, flexibility, proactivity, delegation skills, eagerness to learn, compassion, effective communication skills, and creative care strategies for chronic patients.

Requirements:

* At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
* BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
* RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
* Accredited School of nursing.
* Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within five years of start date.
