We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Certified Lifeguard to join our team at the Harold Mezile North Community YMCA. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the aquatics area to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies
  • Assist swimmers and create a safe, enjoyable, and positive atmosphere
  • Oversee multiple activities, including open swim, water exercise, swim lessons, and lap swimming
  • Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and respond to emergency situations immediately
  • Perform first aid when necessary and complete incident/accident reports
Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Current nationally accredited lifeguard certification
  • Current BLS and First Aid certifications
  • Certification in Oxygen Administration within 45 days of hire
  • Ability to physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
