Clinical Nursing Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Nursing Operations Manager will report directly to the Regional Director of Nursing. This role serves as a key contact for all nursing-related matters, overseeing nursing staff and ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines. The individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care, managing staffing and performance evaluations, and collaborating across departments to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing personnel regarding clinical patient care.
- Guide patient care initiatives through a comprehensive case management approach.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Contribute 10% of responsibilities to the Quality Management Committee, actively participating in infection control and prevention initiatives, and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Maintain a strong understanding of infusion nursing practices, pharmacy services, and reimbursement processes.
- Ensure that all physician orders are current and accurately executed by nursing staff.
- Encourage skilled home health referrals within the community.
- Administer infusions in various settings as required.
- Deliver care in accordance with the state's nursing practice regulations.
- Assist in formulating organizational objectives and developing agency policies and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and mentor nursing staff.
- Manage the on-call schedule for nursing to guarantee clinician availability around the clock.
- Design and implement training and in-service programs.
- Actively participate in the Performance Improvement Committee.
- Oversee the accurate maintenance of clinical records and reports for evaluation and compliance purposes.
- Ensure clinical records are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing and home health care, sharing relevant information with team members.
- Adhere to professional standards and regulatory requirements to protect the pharmacy and ensure quality care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current, unrestricted RN license with a minimum of 3 years of documented infusion experience; 3-5 years of clinical experience in a home health agency or similar setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in Medicare Home Health and familiarity with Joint Commission and/or CHAP standards.
- A minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory nursing role.
- Possess a reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Preferred experience includes peripheral IV starts, IV infusion therapy, phlebotomy for all age groups, CVAD knowledge, and advanced nursing certifications (CRNI, OCN preferred).
- Understanding of regulatory compliance with state and federal laws; adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and resource management skills.
- Able to manage complex schedules and interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Capable of handling a variety of tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of work.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands for operating vehicles and office equipment; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
