This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of diabetes education programs across our healthcare system. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of clinical practice guidelines and standards.

The Lead Diabetes Educator and Clinical Practice Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing evidence-based education programs to support the learning needs of our staff and patients
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and safety
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices
  • Mentoring and supporting staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of diabetes education programs
  • Liaise between departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and maintain staff qualifications, certifications, and training records
  • Participate in quality review audits and address quality issues as needed
  • Stay current with ADA requirements and participate in the evaluation of program effectiveness
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited nursing or dietetics program
  • Unrestricted Arizona Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian licensure
  • CDCES certification or 15 hours of CE credits annually related to chronic disease care and patient education
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience with diabetes or other chronic diseases
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
