Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for providing essential support to patients in a clinical setting. This role is integral in assisting patients with their daily living activities and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living tasks and basic care for those who are acutely ill.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in phlebotomy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of a PCA/PCT diploma with relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
  • Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of Nursing Fundamentals coursework.
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or relevant home health aide experience.

Training Opportunities

If you are a candidate without prior clinical experience but possess a high school diploma or are nearing graduation, training will be provided upon hire.


Certifications

Effective January 2019, certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
