Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team at Info Way Solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in disease surveillance, data analysis, and health informatics.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reviews of data in ESSENCE-FL from state and regional perspectives.
  • Provide consultation and training on the system to county health department and state level users.
  • Perform daily review of data quality and active communication with facilities regarding issues associated with file transfer and data quality.
  • Ensure file transport and processing of data from various sources, including Poison Control Centers, Office of Vital Statistics, hospitals, and urgent care centers.
  • Assist with operating the ESSENCE-FL helpdesk.
  • Oversee and ensure onboarding of surveillance partners, including establishing transport, reviewing test messages, validating messages, and providing technical assistance or support.
  • Participate in special surveillance projects during key events.
  • Assist with surveillance data quality efforts, including monitoring dashboards and infrastructure development.
  • Facilitate, attend, and participate in surveillance team meetings.
  • Document and centrally organize business and system requirements, implementation guides, and processes.
  • Attend national surveillance calls or trainings, quarterly grantee calls, and other relevant national calls or trainings.
  • Update the ESSENCE-FL training manual or any other training documents for the surveillance program.
  • Assist with the submission of project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience working in disease surveillance and surveillance systems.
  • Two years of experience working with electronic medical records using the Health Level 7 (HL7) messaging standard.
  • Two years of experience with data analysis, data integration, or database management.
  • Two years of programming experience with Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), R software, Qlik, SQL, or Python software in the last five years.
  • Two years of experience working with hospital medical records and records management systems.
  • Two years of experience with and applying informatics principles for standardized vocabulary transport and interoperability between systems.
