Compensation: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Metal Fabrication Specialist will work within a fabrication facility, focusing on the modification of heavy machinery utilizing materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints is essential for the successful completion of projects, which include repair and alteration of steel components.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and comprehend blueprints effectively.
- Perform welding and obtain certification in 3G and 4G weld tests using the flux core welding technique.
- Utilize cutting torches as needed.
- Employ grinders for various tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn computer systems; prior experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks.
- Capability to lift and manage weights up to 70 lbs.
Work Environment
- Occasional use of stepladders is required.
- May involve operating forklifts and other lifting machinery.
- Physical effort is significant at times.
- Safety glasses are mandatory (provided by Ace).
Physical Requirements
The physical demands outlined here represent what must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this role. Duties may require standing, walking, sitting, using hands for handling tools, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 20 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional overtime may be necessary.
