Position Overview:
A client located in Wilmington is in search of a dedicated and empathetic family medicine physician to become part of a supportive, outpatient practice. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of experience, prioritize evidence-based medical practices, and be adept at treating patients of all ages. This position requires collaboration with fellow staff members and oversight of mid-level providers and nursing personnel.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid California medical license as an MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in family medicine
- California DEA certificate prior to start date
- Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct primary care to patients across all age groups
- Engage in the formulation of clinic protocols and procedures to guarantee high-quality medical care
- Participate in utilization and peer review initiatives to assess the quality of medical staff and services at the clinics
- Supervise and provide guidance to physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Offer consultation services to practitioners via telephone as needed
