Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Advocacy: Actively prioritize safety in all operations, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards to ensure a secure environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Physical Operations: Engage in various tasks that support plant operations, including the use of hand tools, cleaning, and handling materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with team members to service, repair, and adjust various equipment throughout the facility.
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to guarantee safe, efficient, and compliant operations, maximizing productivity while minimizing disruptions.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery or similar equipment to assist in the plant's operational tasks.

Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Experience: Previous experience in the aggregate or construction sector is advantageous.
  • Knowledge Base: Familiarity with the principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work overtime and extended hours based on operational demands. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud environments.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of industrial tools, their applications, and maintenance is required.
