GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our highway construction workload, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Perform complex technical assignments, including in-field surveying and construction layout, and make and check engineering computations.
- Inspect construction work and conduct field tests to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate and manage lower-level inspectors to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Work closely with the Project Administrator to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection.
- 2 years of experience in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, or a Civil Engineering degree and 1 year of road & bridge CEI experience with the ability to earn additional required certifications within 1 year.
- ACI Concrete Field Technician Level I.
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level.
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I.
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II.
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I.
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II.
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection.
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection.
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I.
- FDOT Advanced MOT.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I.
- Nuclear Radiation Safety.
- Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
- Must be capable of walking in steep varying terrain in all climate conditions.
- Must be able to drive.
