We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Saw Cutting Laborer to join our team at The H&K Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to highway saw cutting, including operating heavy equipment, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

• Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate 35-65 horsepower walk-behind saws, air compressors, jackhammers, sandblasters, and 2-cycle hand saws.
• Maintain Equipment: Load and unload equipment and tools, maintain in-depth understanding of operation and safety requirements for all equipment used.
• Ensure Safety Protocols: Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies, report to Dispatch daily to receive work for each day.
• Record Measurements: Understand and measure linear footage and record measurements.
• Communicate Effectively: Proficient written and verbal communication skills, ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed.

• Experience: One month of related experience as a highway saw cutter or relevant training.
• Education: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Skills: Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job).

• Education: One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in a related field.
• Experience: One year of experience as a highway saw cutter.
• Certifications: OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications.

Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and noise level is usually moderate.
