Job Title: Nurse Educator

Bethesda Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs for our nursing staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted educational programs to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies and procedures related to staff development and education.
  • Provide educational programs on infection prevention and control, including training on proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, and other infection control measures.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive staff development program, including mentorship, coaching, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that educational programs are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education preferred.
  • Current RN license in Missouri and Illinois.
  • CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Certified as a CPR instructor highly desirable.
  • Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program and CMT instructor certification preferred.
  • Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control through accredited continuing education.
  • Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
  • Educational and supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in long-term care required.
