Job Summary and Qualifications
The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures or other functions as directed by the medical provider.
- Document care administration in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment utilized in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
TriStar Summit is a 200-bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center and offer a full range of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women's services.
