Position Overview

The Vice President of Cash Management acts as TrustBank's representative in Illinois, primarily focusing on the DuPage County area while also supporting other Illinois markets. This role is pivotal in establishing new, profitable deposit relationships with commercial enterprises and affluent individuals by offering competitive TrustBank products and services tailored to meet the evolving needs of these segments. Additionally, this position will leverage referrals from lenders and wealth advisors to enhance deposit accounts and services. Building relationships with community influencers and engaging in community activities to boost brand visibility is also essential.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop, maintain, and grow new and existing deposit relationships. Foster strong customer connections through both in-person and remote interactions, identifying financial needs and providing customized cash management solutions.


• Serve as the primary relationship manager for both new and existing clients, collaborating with TrustBank partners to implement a cohesive team approach.


• Lead and direct business initiatives that support the growth of commercial banking in relation to deposit relationships, emphasizing the overall commercial banking experience. This may involve joint client visits with lenders or the Market President.


• Drive deposit generation through the promotion of traditional products and commercial cash management services.


• Assess the suitability of cash management products to effectively address business clients' cash flow and analytical requirements while optimizing the bank's revenue potential.


• Contribute to TrustBank's broader success by fostering deep, profitable relationships through cross-selling opportunities across all business lines in collaboration with the appropriate TrustBank partners.


• Assist in staffing the Wheaton Branch as necessary.


• Actively engage in the DuPage community by participating in local business, civic, and charitable organizations, gradually taking on leadership roles and managing local donations and sponsorship requests.

Additional Responsibilities


• Provide support and solutions via phone, email, and at clients' locations.


• Aid in training and communication related to clients' cash management services.


• Help develop marketing and training materials for cash management services.


• Collaborate with IT to address technical issues and implement system enhancements.


• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's policies, risk management philosophy, and relevant regulations and compliance requirements.


• Participate in bank committees, including but not limited to the Marketing Committee, Deposit Committee, and Wheaton Deposit Pricing Committee.


• Provide insights to the Market President and TrustBank's executive team to formulate and execute a strategic business development plan aimed at securing relationships and expanding customer and portfolio size within the community.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Essential Functions

This is a full-time exempt role, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as necessary to fulfill job demands. Availability on Saturdays is required. The work environment is typically well-lit with moderate noise levels. Duties may involve standing, walking, using hands, reaching, and communicating effectively. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel via various modes of transportation is also necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements


• A minimum of five years of prior sales or business development experience is required.


• A background in cash management or treasury management is essential.


• Experience with extensive customer interaction, including building and maintaining relationships, is necessary.


• A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required; an MBA or MA/MS is a plus.


• Proficiency in PC, Internet, and Cash Management systems is expected.
