Role Overview
The Business Strategy Senior Analyst (Finance) will play a crucial role in supporting the Enterprise Finance team to execute Texas Capital's strategic objectives. This position involves collaborating with line of business leadership to create reporting, forecasts, and improvements to the annual operating plan and financial analysis processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and processes to support the Firm's quarterly forecasting and strategic planning.
- Create comprehensive reports, synthesize analyses, and communicate findings effectively through both verbal and written formats.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the business line being supported.
- Prepare presentations for Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required.
- Utilize data sources and analysis techniques effectively.
- Manage competing priorities across multiple large and complex projects and deliverables.
- Establish strong business partnerships at various levels to inform and influence strategic decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of a complex business enterprise.
- Summarize complex analytical work in clear and concise written formats.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Finance department goals, with a comprehensive understanding of the business line and industry strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant financial or business analysis and planning experience.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and provide thought leadership to senior officers.
- Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with effective partnering abilities.
- Proficient in spreadsheet manipulation, modeling, and forecasting.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and capable of working independently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with enterprise financial planning systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, or TM1 is preferred.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
