Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Manager for a contract to permanent opportunity. This role is pivotal in overseeing the coordination and enhancement of clinical pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager.
  • Establish and maintain systems that ensure optimal patient outcomes through safe and effective medication therapies.
  • Assist in the creation and management of new programs to adapt to the evolving needs of the pharmacy department.
  • Lead and advance clinical programs, particularly in specialized areas such as outpatient infusion, oncology, transplant, and ambulatory pharmacy services.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Clinical Pharmacists, residents, and students while supporting succession planning within the pharmacy leadership.
  • Guide and coach the clinical pharmacist team to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure comprehensive coverage in clinical decision-making.
  • Conduct pharmacy in-services on a regular basis to educate healthcare professionals about new medications and advancements in pharmacy practice.
  • Coordinate and lead Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) meetings in partnership with the Director and Infection Control.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a Clinical Pharmacy residency preferred.
  • California Licensed Pharmacist with BLS Certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Clinical Pharmacist role and 8-10 years of experience in a health system setting.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience or advanced education/training strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey medical information.
  • Proficient computer skills.
