About the Position- Teach a variety of courses in Life Sciences, including Microbiology, and develop curriculum to meet the needs of our diverse student population.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving, and analyze data to improve instruction and student outcomes.
- Provide resources and support to help students achieve their academic, personal, and career goals, and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement academic programs and services that promote student success and retention.
- Master's degree or higher in the Life Sciences field, with a focus on Microbiology, from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years' work experience in an academic setting, with a proven track record of teaching and mentoring students.
- Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System or similar Learning Management System, and prior experience with online teaching and/or teaching certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with a diverse group of staff and students.
