Asset Transfer Specialist

As an Asset Transfer Specialist at Fortis Bank, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of distributions, transfers, and rollover requests for our Self-Directed IRA clients. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Deliver exceptional client service by providing ongoing support to clients related to IRA transaction requests.
• Analyze and process client-initiated distributions, transfers, and rollover requests.
• Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and according to client instructions.
• Partner with the IRA Operations Manager to set up an efficient and compliant process for ACATS transfers.
• Process outgoing ACATS transactions and ensure all documentation related to the ACATS is appropriately collected and maintained in Bank systems.
• Address any discrepancies and communicate with clients to advise them of the status of their requests.
• Manage call, chat, and email volume for the IRA Operations team.
• Assist in processing outgoing cash transactions within the Bank's trust accounting system.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trust or retirement operations, banking experience a plus.
• Experience in ACATS strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products and technology.
• Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to build meaningful professional relationships.
