Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant to join our team at LEAD Staffing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining control of our tool room, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly issued and received, and that our inventory is accurately tracked.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Tool Room Management: Maintain control of the tool room, including issuing and receiving tools, PPE, parts, and supplies to production personnel. Resolve any issues that may arise.
  2. Tool Identification and Inspection: Mark and identify tools and equipment, and inspect them regularly to ensure they are in good working condition. Perform minor repairs, services, and lubricate tools and equipment as needed.
  3. Inventory Management: Ensure that the tool program is enforced throughout the facility, and that all tools, equipment, and supplies are accounted for using our tool and equipment asset control database.
  4. Consumable Asset Management: Monitor all consumable assets and inventory material, and ensure that adequate resources are available to support production operations.
  5. Calibration and Recall: Oversee the calibration recall program and gauge calibration to ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within specifications.
  6. HazMat Management: Manage the requisitioning and storage of hazardous materials.
Requirements
  1. Computer Skills: Basic to intermediate computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Office.
  2. Document Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, federal and state regulations, procedure manuals, and hazardous waste and storage regulations.
  3. Communication Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and to communicate effectively with production personnel and other stakeholders.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and situations.
  5. Customer Service Skills: Very strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide excellent service to production personnel and other stakeholders.
