TIG Welders

We are seeking a highly skilled TIG Welders to join our team at Blue Origin, where you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of spacecraft systems. As a TIG Welders, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and safety standards in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and weld spacecraft components using TIG welding techniques
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with aerospace manufacturing specifications and quality control standards
- Work closely with the Weld Shop Supervisor to manage production schedules and meet deadlines
- Participate in the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes
- 8+ years of experience in GTAW welding in an aerospace or precision manufacturing production environment
- Metallurgical knowledge and expertise in welding Inconel
- Ability to author and develop weld schedules that meet AWS D17.1 Class A inspection requirements
- Experience in using automated welding equipment and hand tools
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass a written math test and a practical Weld Test
- Some technical coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent
- Leadership experience and willingness to mentor lower-level welders
- Green/Black belt 5S certification
- Current GTAW certifications by AWS D17.1
- Expert level of confidence in aerospace manufacturing specifications for large complex thick wall tubes, thin wall ducts, and welded assemblies
