Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Clinical Services Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing advanced clinical and administrative support to our orthopedic services team.
Key Responsibilities- Shadow medical providers during exams and record details in patient records.
- Prepare patients for and assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Answer patient questions and coordinate with internal and external departments.
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and computer systems for patient visits.
- Perform and document patient communication and intake information.
- Conduct family education assessments, pain questionnaires, and medication reconciliations.
- Document reason for visit, chief complaint, and enter orders as appropriate.
- Perform point of care testing and appointment check-in, check-out, and scheduling.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA), (RMA), (NCMA), (CCMA), Orthopedic Tech, Cast Technician, (CNA), (EMT).
- Medical Scribe certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience preferred; 0-6 months experience acceptable based on manager's discretion.
