About the Role

Core Group Resources, a leading recruitment company, is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Lead to join our client's team in New Mexico. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for leading electrical and instrumentation projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of gas pipeline facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Operations
    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and electrical equipment, including VFDs, switchgear, transformers, and power supply systems.
    • Specify and procure equipment according to application requirements.
    • Conduct loops checks and calibration of field instrumentation.
  • Project Implementation and Construction
    • Work effectively with technicians, operations, and engineers to conduct maintenance and repair activities, as well as installation and commissioning of new equipment and facilities.
    • Develop and implement O&M procedures, site-specific procedures, project scopes, and work plans.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Comply with safety and environmental practices in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
    • Attend safety trainings, maintain required certifications, and set an example of high safety standards.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in pipeline instrumentation and electrical power systems, instrument control, automation, and electrical maintenance/project commissioning in the oil & gas industry.
  • General pipeline knowledge and working experience with medium voltage equipment.
  • Experience working as an I&E Lead technician.
  • Working knowledge of National Electric Codes.
  • Technical Degree/Associate's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronic Communications, or Industrial Electronics, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, electronic, and analytical instrumentation used to measure and control flow, temperature, pressure, level, and analytical properties of fluids.
  • Proficiency in reading technical documentation, including Piping & Instrument Diagrams, loop drawings, wiring schematics, and specifications.
