Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

The EEG Technician is expected to possess knowledge of human development, assessment, treatment range, and patient care appropriate to various age groups. This position involves performing and interpreting a range of EEG tests, participating in quality improvement initiatives, enhancing customer service, and managing charge inputs.

  • Administer all relevant EEG tests to the patient demographic.
  • Conduct regular audits of patient records to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Propose innovative strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
  • Complete data entry for designated tasks and uphold data accuracy.
  • Maintain EEG and EMG records and reports within the database.
Required Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support or Heart Saver CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Experience in a Neurodiagnostic setting or graduation from an accredited EEG program is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
