Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Children's Specialized Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to children with special needs and medical complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer nursing care in the medical practices for children with special needs and medical complexity.
  • Provide clinical care and oversight for medical services, including patient and family education, vaccine administration, point of care testing, and patient triage.
  • Collaborate with internal and external care providers to ensure continuum of care is delivered within a patient and family-centered, team-based model.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient and family education plans.
  • Perform and manage vaccination administration, ordering, education, and reporting in line with external and internal standards.
  • Recognize and respect patient and family rights in a culturally and religiously sensitive environment of care.
  • Provide clinical oversight for the duties of the medical assistant.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in caring for children with special needs, including those with technology dependence and medical complexity.
  • Perform and oversee competency and quality assurance for office-based point of care testing.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
  • NJ Registered Nurse License.
  • AHA BLS Provider Certification.
  • BSN degree (preferred).
  • Experience with medical technology and medically complex children (preferred).
