Materials Procurement Coordinator

About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Materials Procurement Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team at ENEOS USA Inc. (JX Nippon Oil & Energy). As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for collaborating with other supply chain members to ensure that chemical raw materials are purchased and available to support production planning and company forecast.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about procurement and supply chain management. You will have the chance to work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and maintain our ERP/MRP system, as well as assist in maintaining accurate price lists for purchased materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare purchase orders to support forecast and production plan for chemical raw material (bulk and non-bulk) by verifying specifications and price
- Obtain approval from appropriate personnel for each purchase
- Verify purchase orders by comparing items requested to master list, clarify unclear items, and assist to maintain master list of purchased items
- Verify receipt of items purchased by comparing items received to items ordered
- Assist Group Management to resolve shipment/receiving errors
- Support timely payment of invoices by assisting to provide documentation to Accounts Payable and ensuring documentation is accurate
- Support planning function by timely collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and sharing data
- Communicate up and down the supply chain to work in a collaborative environment with other departments (internal and external) to support production plan
- Monitor status and communicate timely and accurate information to appropriate personnel for ETA of incoming raw materials and issues or concerns with supply of raw materials
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of procurement principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems a plus
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
