Job Description

RPh on the Go is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy team in Crossville, TN.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for controlled substances, prescriptions, and other required documentation.
  • Prepare for and facilitate inspections by regulatory agencies.
Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including workflow management and staff supervision.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and controlling medications and supplies.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance and safety protocols.
Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any staff issues or conflicts.
  • Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
Patient Care:
  • Provide clinical consultation and medication therapy management to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Address and resolve medication-related problems and inquiries.
Financial Management:
  • Monitor and control pharmacy expenses, including budgeting and cost management.
  • Oversee billing and reimbursement processes, including insurance claims and patient payments.
Pharmacy Services:
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Stay current with advancements in pharmaceutical care and incorporate evidence-based practices into pharmacy operations.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current and active pharmacist license in the state of employment.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a pharmacist, with a track record of leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills; excellent attention to detail; proficiency in pharmacy software and technology.
  • Certifications: Board certification in a specialty area or other relevant certifications may be required or preferred.
