TravelCenters of America is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier II to join our team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and contributing to the success of our travel centers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all guests
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately, maintaining a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining a visually appealing store environment
- Support the training of lower-level cashiers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and growth
- Prioritize tasks according to store and management needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
- Adhere to safety guidelines and report any potential hazards or incidents
- Establish strong relationships with leaders and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
- 2+ years of cashier experience, preferably in a retail or food service environment
- Strong computer and POS skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Cash handling skills and experience with handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods
- Merchandising and stocking experience, with a focus on maintaining a visually appealing store environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
