Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Convenience Store Clerk to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing financial transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process financial transactions, including cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment
  • Assist customers with purchases and provide product information
  • Restock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Operate a cash register and handle customer transactions
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including security and cash handling procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
Working Conditions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Travel requirements vary by assignment.
