Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Development Engineer to join our team at ProAmpac. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new products and processes, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product development opportunities.
  • Design and develop prototypes, testing and refining them to ensure they meet our requirements.
  • Work closely with our quality team to ensure that all products meet our quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience in a related field.
  • 2-4 years of technical service, process control, quality engineering, product development, or other related technical and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Packaging Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of adhesives, barrier properties/technology of materials, and lamination processes.
  • CAD or SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Experience with FDA requirements and ISO standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
