- Monitor and review accounts payable aging reports and purchase order logs for correctness and completeness.
- Manage vendor files and oversee the issuance of sales tax resale certificates.
- Ensure timely resolution and clearing of invoices on hold.
- Manage the accounts payable process to maximize payment discounts.
- Review client billings and payment applications for accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and review accounts receivable aging reports and oversee collection activities.
- Manage credit applications and make recommendations for extension of credit and terms.
- Ensure maintenance of customer files, including credit, insurance certificates, and sales tax status.
- Review month-end reconciliations prepared by the AR team.
- Alert the Controller to problems and issues relating to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform special projects associated with financial information tracking, recording, compilation, and reconciliation.
- Continuously review and improve the accounts payable and accounts receivable process.
- Actively participate in training, supervision, motivation, and evaluation of AP and AR team members.
- Maintain discipline, investigate, and resolve performance issues.
