We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee accounting operations, including inputting, reconciling, and processing invoices, credit cards, and bank transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports, including monthly bank reconciliations and settlements.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance revenue, recommending strategies to management.
  • Financial Documentation: Prepare documentation of year-end financial review, compilation, and corporate/owner tax returns for external CPAs.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed.
  • Customer Billing: Bill and collect payment from customers, accurately recording it into the system (GP Dynamics).
  • Financial Reporting: Provide financial information to management, enabling informed decisions regarding company benefits (commercial insurance, group health insurance, 401(k)/profits sharing, etc.).
  • System Administration: Serve as system administrator for multiple systems, working with third-party IT providers.
  • Collection Management: Monitor collection of past-due accounts, advising the VP of Operations on next steps.

Requirements:

  • Initiative and Time Management: Strong initiative-taking and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in GP Dynamics, Jobboss, Paycor, and other applications related to accounting and manufacturing.
  • Financial Security: Thorough understanding of financial application security, ensuring the confidentiality and security of financial data.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work with others, serving as a backup to payroll and accounts payable.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years' experience in all areas of accounting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent job-related experience.
