How You Make a DifferenceThe Physician is responsible for assessing and providing medical care to patients in collaboration with the Nurse Manager-Health Services & PI and ARNPs, and ensuring the smooth flow of consultations and referrals between medical staff.
This position also includes on-call responsibilities for the provision of medical care outside of regular business hours.
The physician must ensure timely and accurate documentation of all assessments and treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and provide medical treatments to patients throughout their hospital stay, including after-hours on-call coverage.
- Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all assessments and provide clinical oversight of ARNPs.
- Make referrals for tests and consultations, monitor ongoing care of medical conditions, and provide education on medical diagnoses to patients and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with staff from other disciplines and be knowledgeable about the care and treatment needs of patients of different ages.
- Adhere to company Code of Conduct Standards and understand and comply with special precautions, disaster, and fire safety procedures, and abuse reporting.
