Pediatric Hematology Oncology Locum Tenens Position

The Pediatric Hematology Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) locum tenens role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment in Arizona. This position is designed for professionals who are passionate about providing specialized care to pediatric patients.
Location:
Arizona
Commitment Duration:
Preference for a 6-month to 1-year initial engagement.
Work Schedule:
Part-time commitment with an expectation of 7 shifts per month.
Shift Details:
24-hour inpatient coverage, available Monday through Sunday, with options for night pager call. Daytime inpatient coverage without call is also available.
Call Responsibilities:
Night pager call (negotiable based on preference).
Clinical Responsibilities:
This role involves providing comprehensive care for pediatric patients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant procedures, including both autologous and allogenic transplants. The physician will primarily cover floor status patients, with assistance from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and collaboration with the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for those requiring critical care.
Patient Volume:
Approximately 10-15 inpatients.
Support Structure:
The physician will work alongside a team of 3 BMT attendings, APP support, and dedicated Pre/Post BMT Registered Nurse coordinators.
Electronic Medical Records:

Qualifications:
- Board Certified in relevant specialty.
- Completion of ACGME or AOA-accredited residency and fellowship training.
- PALS Certification.
- Active Arizona medical license or IMLC/Compact license (or willingness to apply).
- Submission of relevant case logs for the past 24 months, including a minimum of 5 pediatric cases.
